Terus minumnya teh panas.... halllaa... apa'an sih. Musim dingin dijadiin alesan...heheheh..padahal kalau mo ngemil..ngemil aja kali ya.... (^,^)
Lagi pengen makan lento nih.
Resep Lento
Bahan:
- ± 300 gram kacang tunggak, rendam minim 3 jam (saya biasanya semalaman baru pagi saya olah)
- 3 sendok makan tepung terigu
- minyak untuk menggoreng
Bumbu Halus:
- 2 buah cabe merah besar
- 4~5 siung bawang putih
- 3 cm kencur
- 2 lembar daun jeruk purut
- 1 sdt garam atau sesuai selera
- sedikit gula
Uleg kacang tunggak jangan terlalu halus |
- Rendam kacang tolo semalam. Cuci bersih. Lalu rebus sekitar 5 menit sampai matang tapi tidak terlalu lembek (ada tekstur agak keras), tiriskan. Tumbuk kasar, jangan terlalu halus.
Selamat mencoba.

RECIPE IN ENGLISH
This black eyed peas fritter usually eat with "lontong balap"(Surabaya bean sprout stew) or "lontong Mie"(bean sprout and noodle stew) as side dish. But of course we can eat it just as it or other meal's side dish.
In my homeland some people mix with cassava, but I prefer my mom's style using no cassava in it. So if you are food adventurer or just looking for vegan alternative dish you should try this.
"lento" / black eyes peas fritter
Ingredients:
- ± 300 gr black eyed peas, soaked in water at least 3 hrs or a night before
- 3 tbsp AP flour
- enough cooking oil for frying
- 2 red chili (seeded if you don't like spicy)
- 4~5 cloves of garlic
- 3 cm kencur o kaempfeia galanga
- 2 kaffir lime leaves
- 1 tsp salt or to taste
- pinch of sugar
Use immersion blender or mortar pestle, puree all spices above, set a side.
Using mortar and pestle mashed the cooked peas |
- Soak black eyed peas in cold water at least 3 hours or over night. Wash and drain then boil about 5 minutes, don't have to much soft, slightly crunchy is better. With mortar and pestle lightly mashed the peas. Leave some small chunk just it is, no need too smooth like puree. Move to medium bowl.
- Add in ground spice and AP flour, mix well. You may check the taste.
- Take about one and a alf tbsp the mixture, shape round with your palm and then lightly flatten.
- Fry them until golden red and crunchy.
Serve warm or room temperature.
