Who's boring with this light, airy, and deliciously rich cake. My husband and my kid love chiffon cake cause it's so light and will not make you full easily. Super tasty and my favorite cake to explore and vary.

Chocolate Banana Chiffon Cake

For one 22-24 cm tube pan

๐ 85 gr vegetable oil

๐ 25 gr dark cacao powder

๐ ½ tsp Salt

๐ 2 tsp vanilla powder
๐ 2 tsp Chocolate black Forrest paste (optional)

๐ 1 tsp lemon juice (or cream of tartar)

Note: (*)replace with 30 gr cornstarch flour+150 gr AP flour

Method:
1) Preheat oven at 170℃. Prepare one 22-24 cm tube pan UNGREASE.
2) Blend bananas with a fork until very smooth. Move into a big bowl, add in milk, oil, 60 gr sugar. whisk well. Add in egg yolk and continue to whisk to combine.
3) Combine all dry ingredients; cake flour, cacao powder, baking powder, vanilla powder, and salt. Sift into the yolk batter. Mix until no lump of the flour. Set aside while you prepare the meringue.
4) Add lemon juice into the egg white. Using an electric mixer, whisk egg white until foamy, continue to beat as you gradually (in 3 batches) add remaining caster sugar until firm peaks form.
5) Fold 1/3 of meringue to yolk batter with a hand whisk. Add another 1/3 portion and fold gently with the whisk. Then pour in balance of meringue. Add the chocolate/ black forrest paste (if using). Fold gently using a spatula until no more streaks of meringue can be seen.
6) Pour batter into prepared pan and tap pan lightly to remove air bubbles.
Bake in a preheated oven for about 50-55 minutes. If still can hear squishing sound when pressed lightly on the surface, bake a little longer. You are done when you pressed the surface and its spring back and inserted skewer comes out clean.
Note: The baking time and temperature only guidance. Adjust according to your own oven condition. Recognize and adjust as needed
7) Remove from oven and immediately invert the tube pan upside down until the cake completely cools down. You might need something like a wine bottle or any bottle with a "neck" suit to your tube pan. Let it completely cool before you unmould it.
8) How to unmold the cake; run a thin knife or spatula around the edges, pressing against the sides of the pan. Invert the cake to free it from the sides of the pan, tapping the base to help release. Then run the knife or spatula around the base to release the funnel.
Enjoy with a sprinkling of icing sugar or buttercream as you like.

๐ 85 gr minyak sayur

๐ 25 gr bubuk coklat pekat

๐ ½ sdt garam halus
๐ ½ sdt garam halus

๐ 2 sdt pasta black forest (opsional)

๐ 1 sdt perasan jeruk lemon (atau cream tartar)
๐ 60 gr gula kastor/ butir halus

Note: (*)Bisa menggunakan 30 gr pati jagung+150 gr terigu protein rendah

Cara membuat:
Cake.
Panaskan oven suhu 170℃. Siapkan loyang tulban chiffon tanpa dioles apapun. Sisihkan.
1) Haluskan pisang, bisa dengan garpu. Masukkan ke dalam mangkok besar lalu tambahkan susu, minyak sayur dan gula. Aduk dengan whisk hingga rata.
Lalu masukkan kuning telur. Aduk lagi dengan whisk
2) Campur jadi satu; bubuk kakao, terigu, pati jagung, baking powder, bubuk vanili dan garam. Masukkan ke adonan sambil diayak. Lalu aduk lagi dengan whisk sampai tercampur rata dan tidak ada gumpalan tepung.
3) Buat meringue: Dalam wadah yang bersih kocok putih telur dengan perasan jeruk lemon (atau cream tartar) hingga berbusa banyak. Masukkan gula secara bertahap sambil tetap dikocok kecepatan tinggi. Kocok hingga hard peak/ kaku.
4) Campurkan meringue ke adonan kuning telur dalam tiga tahap. Aduk merata tiap panambahannya. Tambahkan juga pasta black forest jika pakai, aduk balik hingga rata.Tuang ke dalam loyang yang sudah disiapkan. Hentakkan loyang beberapa kali di counter untuk mengeluarkan gelembung udara dalam adonan.
5) Panggang dalam oven yang sudah dipanaskan suhu 170℃ selama 50-55 menit. Cek kematangan dengan tes tusuk hingga lidi keluar bersih.

Note: Kenali kondisi oven masing-masing. Sesuaikan suhu dan waktu memanggang sesuai kondisi oven.
6) Keluarkan dari oven dan langsung balikkan loyang hingga dingin. Lepaskan dari loyang jika benar benar dingin. Chiffon cake siap dihiasi sesuai selera.
