As Kebab, Köfte have some variation and sometimes the name was taken from the town where it originated from. For example Adana Köfte, Izmir Köfte,etc. This time I try to make Izmir Köfte ... Want to try as well in your kitchen?
Ingredients:
For Köfte/ meatball:- 500 gr ground beef
- 3 slices of bread without skin (I use stale bread)
- 1 medium onion. Finely grated
- Salt and pepper to taste.
- A few stick of celerys. Chop the leaves.
- Enough oil for fry
* Mix all ingredients for Köfte/ meatball (except cooking oil). Round oval shape. Fry in enough oil until cooked . Set aside
For the sauce:
- 1 large size tomato. Grate.
- 1 tbsp tomato paste. Dissolve with 3/4 cup warm water
- A little salt and sugar according to taste.
*Mix all sauce ingredients. Cook with 1 tablespoon butter until cooked (about 5 minutes). Set aside.
Other ingredients:
- 2 medium size potatoes. Cut "apple shape" / crescent shape.
- 3 long green chilies. Discard the seed. Cut lengthwise

- 3 red sweet pepper. Seeded, cut lengthwise
*Fry potato with enough oil. Absorb remaining oil in a towel tissue
How to cook:
1) Preheat oven to 150 deg C. Prepare a baking sheet or heat resistant dish. Put Köfte, potatoes and all peppers. Sprinkle with tomato sauce.
2) Roasted about 30-40 minutes.
Serve warm.
