Nothing can comfort me in this 8°C days better than hot Turkish tea together with this warm brownies...
Yes... I'm craving something chocolaty these few days....
This brownies absolutely gorgeous! Rich chocolate taste just like melting in your mouth, indulge your sweet tooth with its chocolate richness.. I just love it....
Maybe next time I will twist this recipe with cream cheese or walnuts...
Ingredients
- 175 g unsalted butter
- 200 g good-quality dark chocolate (70% cocoa solids) , broken up
- 75 g dried cherries
- 75 g roasted chestnuts , chopped
- 75 g cocoa powder , sifted
- 100 g plain flour , sifted
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 300 g golden caster sugar
- 4 large free-range eggs
- icing sugar , for dusting
Direction:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a 20 cm x 30 cm baking tin with parchment paper.
- In heat proof bowl over a pan of simmering water, melt the butter and the chocolate, mixing gently until smooth, remove from the heat.
- In a separate bowl, sift together cocoa powder, flour and baking powder. Mix in sugar. Add this to melted butter-chocolate mixture then stir until it’s all combined really well.
- Beat the eggs then mix these in, too.
- Pour brownie batter into pepared baking tin, and place in the oven for around 15 to 20 minutes. Do no overcook it, so you don’t want a skewer to come out clean. The brownie should be slightly springy on the outside but gooey in the middle.
- Allow them to cool in the tray for 30 minutes then carefully turn them out on to a chopping board and cut into 3 cm squares.
I like to eat while they were warm..... I can taste the gooey chocolate in my mouth...hmm..just yummy almost like hot chocolate pudding. You can sprinkle with icing sugar or vanilla cream or just as it is.

- 200 g dark chocolate berkualitas (70% cocoa solids) , cincang halus
- 75 g buah cerry kering --> saya tidak pakai
- 75 g kastanye sangrai/ bakar, cincang kasar (bisa diganti dengan jeis kacang-kacangan lain) --> saya tidak pakai
- 75 g bubuk kakao , ayak
- 100 g tepung terigu, ayak
- 1 sdt baking powder
- 300 g golden caster sugar (saya gunakan brown sugar)
- 4 telur ukuran besar
- gula icing untuk taburan
Cara membuat:
- Preheat oven pada 180°C dan alasi sebuah (20 cm x 30 cm) loyang dengan kertas baking.
- Lelehkan mentega dan chocolate dengan cara double boiling, aduk-aduk hingga rata dan halus. Angkat dan sisihkan.
- Di tempat lain, ayak jadi satu, bubuk kakao, terigu dan baking powder, campurkan juga gula, aduk rata. Lalu masukkan bahan kering ini ke campuran mentege-coklat leleh, aduk hingga benar rata.
- Kocok lepas telur dan masukkan ke campuran pertama, aduk rata.
- Tuang adonan brownies ke loyang yang sudah disiapkan dan panggang selama 15 ~ 20 menit. Brownie ini tidak perlu dipanggang terlalu lama dan jangan "overcook", Jadi jika dicek dengan lidi/ tusuk sate masih terlihat basah dan menempel di lidi, it's okay, cek permukaan brownie, jika sudah kering ketika disentuh (agak spongy) maka brownies sudah matang.
- Diamkan hingga dingin suhu ruang sekitar 30 mnt lalu lepaskan dari loyang dan potong-potong. Hidangkan dengan taburan gula icing atau vanilla creame.
