It is one of the meat dishes sitting in the corner of the Ottoman kitchen. It got its name from the way it is cooked. Traditionally it cooks in a copper pan.
This dish can be served with Turkish bread or with Turkish pilav (rice).
In addition, traditionally, while tas kebab was served, yogurt with garlic was also served.

Turkish Food Recipe: Tas Kebabı

Ingredients:
🍲 500 gr lamb or beef meat, cut into chunk
🍲 1 medium onion, finely chopped
🍲 2-3 green banana chili pepper, seeded and chopped
🍲 2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
🍲 2 tomatoes, small diced
🍲 1 tbsp tomato paste (you can mix with chili paste)
🍲 salt to taste
🍲 black pepper powder
🍲 smoked paprika powder
🍲 enough olive oil
🍲 2 medium potatoes, cubed and fry it.
🍲 dried mint for serving
How to cook:
1. Heat olive oil in a heavy-bottomed saucepan. Add in the chopped onion and chopped banana chili. Sauteé until onion gets transparent and fragrant, do not burn. Add in chopped tomatoes, tomato paste, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika. Stir well.
2. Add the meat then pour with 2-3 cups of meat broth or boiling water and chopped garlic, lid on, and cook until meat tender. Add more water/ broth if the meat not yet soft/ tender if necessary. For a quick way, you can move into a pressure cooking pan to do it. Cook until the broth slightly thicken.
3. Fried potato cubes adding just before serving. Sprinkle with dried mint.

Salah satu makanan tradisional Turki yang disajikan sejak jaman kesultanan Utsmaniyah/ ottoman dulu.
Terdiri dari daging domba atau sapi yang dimasak dalam kuah tomat dan bumbu lainnya hingga daging empuk dan kental. Disajikan dengan potogan kentang yang digoreng yang ditambahkan ketika akan disajikan.
Umumya dimasak dalam panci copper/ tembaga hingga menambah kelezatan masakan ini. Masakan ini juga salah satu menu yang sering kita jumpai di restoran-restoran keluarga jika kamu berkunjung ke Turki.
Rasanya segar karena menggunalan tomat dan pasta tomat yang khas. Membuatnya pun sangat mudah.
Bisa disajikan dengan roti khas Turki atau bisa juga dengan nasi khas Turki yang gurih.
Resep masakan Turki: TAS KEBABI

Bahan-bahan:
🍲 500 gr daging sapi/ domba
🍲 1 bawang bombay besar
🍲 2 siung bawang putih. cincang halus
🍲 2 buah tomat
🍲 1 sdm pasta tomat
🍲 garam
🍲 bubuk merica
🍲 bubuk paprika
🍲 minyak zaitun secukupnya untuk menumis
🍲 2 buah kentang, potong kotak dan goreng hingga matang
🍲 daun mint kering untuk serving
Cara Memasak:
1. Tumis bawang bombay sampa layu dan harum. Lalu masukkan potongan tomat, pasta tomat, garam, merica dan paprika bubuk.
2. Maukkan potongan daging lalu tuang air kaldu 2 gelas. Masukkan bawang putih cincang halus. Tutup dan masak hingga daging empuk. Tambahkan air jika daging belum empuk benar. Masak hingga kuah agak mengental
3) Terakhir masukkan kentang goreng. Aduk rata. Sajikan hangat dengan taburan daun mint kering.
