This cake is the indispensable accompaniment of the most beautiful conversations and tea times. This chocolate cake manages to impress itself with its saturation while enchanting with its taste at the same time. The recipe is also very easy and practical.
Literally means "wet cake". It's a brownies-like cake that flushes with rich chocolate sauce to make it moist after it is baked.
This cake is a typical cake sold in local patisserie here. But even though it doesn't mean we can not bake it at home.
The recipe is simple, with basic ingredients that can be prepared in a short time. In fact, it would not be an exaggeration to say that it is easy enough not to bother you, even if you are in a hurry

After preparing the ingredients at home, you can quickly make this yummy, delish, and super moist cake. It is possible to access brownie-like recipes from the extensive culinary archive of yummy recipes. Thus, you can prepare brownies that will not look like patisserie cakes among many alternatives.
There are two steps to make this "ıslak kek", bake the cake, and prepare the chocolate sauce.
After you bake the cake, let it cool to room temperature then cut into squares. While that you can make the very easy and quick chocolate sauce.
After you have your chocolate sauce, pour the sauce all over the cake while it is still hot. Let the cake absorb the chocolate sauce and let it sit at room temperature.
After cooling, you can keep it in the fridge.
Serve it cold with the topping you like, eg. ground pistachio, desiccated coconut, or ground walnut
Turkish Moist Chocolate Cake / ıslak kek

For the cake
🍫 4 medium eggs
🍫 220 g (1 cup) caster sugar
🍫 115 gr (1 Turkish teacup) vegetable oil
🍫 220 g (1 cup) caster sugar

🍫 250 gr ( 1 cup) whole milk
🍫 30 g (4 tbsp) cocoa powder
🍫 300 g ( 2 cups) AP flour
🍫 11 gr (1 packet) baking powder
🍫 30 g (4 tbsp) cocoa powder
🍫 300 g ( 2 cups) AP flour
🍫 11 gr (1 packet) baking powder
🍫 5 gr ( 2 tsp) powdered vanilla
For the sauce:
🍫 500 gr (2 cups) whole milk
🍫 15 gr (2 tbsp) cocoa powder
🍫 110 g (½ cup) caster sugar
🍫 55 g (¼ cup) vegetable oil
🍫 15 gr (2 tbsp) cocoa powder
🍫 110 g (½ cup) caster sugar
🍫 55 g (¼ cup) vegetable oil
🍫 ±110 gr (1 bar) dark chocolate
How to make:
The cake.
1) Preheat oven at 180℃. Grease one 30 x 25 x 5 cm or 28 x 28 x 5 cm baking tray
with butter/ margarine. In the video, I lined my baking tray with parchment paper, but you can direct grease the pan, it's easier I think.
2) In a big mixing bowl, whisk eggs, sugar, and vegetable oil just until sugar is dissolved. Whisk in the milk and mix to well combined. Sift in all dry ingredients. Then continue to whisk until you have an incorporated and smooth batter.
3) Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for about 30 minutes in the middle rack or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
Note: The baking time and temperature only guidance. Adjust according to your own oven condition. Recognize and adjust as needed.
4) Remove from oven and let it cool. Cut the cake into equal squares. I end up having 12 cakes. But you can cut smaller and have more cakes. Set aside.
Make the chocolate sauce.
1) In a medium saucepan, heat milk, sugar, cocoa powder, and vegetable oil. Cook over medium heat until bubbling. Stirring continuously to prevent the milk blow up.
2) Lowest the heat, add in the dark chocolate bar. Quick stir until the chocolate melts completely. Remove from heat.
Finishing.
Pour the chocolate sauce while it's hot all over the cake. Cover with plastic wrap/ cling, Try your cling wrap doesn't touch the cake. Keep in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
Serve it cold, topped with desiccated coconut or ground pistachio or ground walnut.

Banyak dijual di toko-toko yang menjual aneka kue taart (manis) dan baklava. Tapi sering juga dibikin di rumah sebagai sajian teman minum kopi bersama keluarga atau teman.
Versi asli yang dijual di toko roti / patisserie, kek ini basah sekali dengan saus cokelat susu yang menggenang, merendam kue coklat ini. Penggemar cokelat pasti jatuh cinta dengan kue manis satu ini.

Untuk saus siraman:
🍫 500 gr (2 gelas) susu UHT
🍫 15 gr (2 sdm) bubuk kakao
🍫 110 g (½ gelas) gula
🍫 55 g (¼ gelas) minyak sayur
🍫 15 gr (2 sdm) bubuk kakao
🍫 110 g (½ gelas) gula

🍫 ±110 gr (1 bar) coklat batangan
Cara membuat:
Untuk kek.
1) Panaskan oven suhu 180℃. Olesi loyang dengan margarin atau mentega. Sisihkan. Di video saya pakai kertas baking juga tapi lain kali tidak usah juga lebih praktis.
2) Dalam mangkok besar, pecahkan telur. Masukkan gula dan minyak sayur. Aduk dengan wire whisk sampai gula larut saja. Masukkan susu, aduk rata lagi.
Lalu masukkan bahan kering sambil diayak. Whisk lagi hingga semua tercampur rata dan tidak ada gumpalan tepung.
3) Tuang adonan ke loyang yang sudah disiapkan. Oven hingga matang kurang lebih 30 menit atau tes tusuk sampai matang.
Note: Suhu dan waktu memanggang sesuaikan dengan kondisi oven masing-masing.
4) Keluarkan dari oven dan dinginkan diatas rak pendingin. Kek tidak usah dikeluarkan dari loyang, langsung potong-potong kotak persegi. Saya jadi 12 potong, jika ingin lebih kecil bisa dapat potongan kek lebih banyak.
Membuat saus cokelat.
1) Campurkan susu, gula, bubuk kakao dan minyak sayur dalam panci. Masak dengan api sedang sambil diaduk terus hingga mendidih. Jangan ditinggal-tinggal ya, nanti meluap!
2) Kecilkan api paling kecil, masukkan coklat batangan yang sudah dipotong-potong, aduk terus sampai coklat leleh. Angkat dari api.
Penyelesaian.
Tuang saus coklat panas-panas ke seluruh permukaan kek yang sudah dipotong-potong diatas. Diamkan hingga suhu ruang sebelum disimpan dalam lemari es.
Sajikan dingin dengan topping taburan pistachio atau walnut atau kelapa parut kering.
