Yes, summer still around, even the weather forecast said the heat will be increase to around 39℃ this week in my area. Nothing tastes better on a hot summer day than fresh-from-the-freezer ice pops. I know, we can get any kind of ice pops at any market around the corners, easy and "no pain" at all. Unfortunately, many store-bought ice pop varieties contain artificial ingredients, high fructose corn syrup, and food dyes 😣
So why don't we make our own? We can control the ingredients we use. There are so many different combinations and flavors we can make, just be creative 😊
Like these healthy yet refreshing strawberry popsicles is the best-frozen treat for the whole family.
My strawberry ice pops have a shortlist of ingredients, even with minimum ingredients we will get maximum refreshing and fun! Strawberry, thick Turkish yogurt, and honey. That's it!
I am using a strawberry percentage higher than yogurt to get a richer and fresher strawberry flavor. The sweetness only comes from honey, you can use any kind of sweeter which suits you.
I freeze my strawberry a few hours or overnight before I process them to get thick consistency so it makes me easy to stick my ice pop stick. But if you have a popsicle mold with a handle, you can skip the frozen step.
To process and mix the strawberry, you can use a blender or food processor like me. You can process the strawberry very smooth or slightly small chunk in it, it up to you.
After you blend the strawberry, add in plain yogurt and vanilla extract, continue to blend until completely incorporated.
Pour into prepare popsicle mold then keep in the freezer overnight.
If you don't have a popsicle mold don't be discouraged. You can use small paper cups or plastic cups!

How to make:
Make 8-10 popsicles
Ingredients:
🍓 2 cups (about 300 gr) chopped strawberry, freeze few hours up to overnight
🍓 1 cup (270 gr) thick plain creamy Turkish yogurt
🍓 ½ cup ( about 150 gr) honey or as your taste
🍓 1 tsp vanilla extract
How to make:
1) Place frozen strawberries into the food processor and process until smooth.
2) Add yogurt, honey, and vanilla. Process again until creamy smooth and well combined, you can check the sweetness. Add as your preference.
3) Divided into prepared popsicle mold and freeze at least 6 hours or overnight.
To unmold, dip the mold into warm water for 10 to 20 seconds.
Make-Ahead Tip: Freeze for up to 1 month.

Musim panas disini identik dengan buah-buahan segar khas musim panas yang segar. Harganya makin murah jika musim panen pas dipuncaknya. Tak terkecuali buah strawberry. Memang sih buah ini sekarang cenderung ada dipasaran terus sepanjang musim, karena sudah banyak green house yang memproduksi strawberry sepanjang tahun. Tapi rasa strawberry musim panas lebih manis, lebih segar dan lebih murah. Dan kebanyakan yang dipanen musim panas strawberrynya organik. Tinggal milih aja sih.. mau organik atau yang non organik 😊
Selain dimakan segar ( sampai bosen) strawberry biasanya saya bikin selai homemade. Bisa juga dibikin pie. Tapi kali ini strawberry nya saya bikin popsicle atau es lolipop karena Agustus ini masih juga panas.
Bikinnya mudah ya... mirip-mirip dengan lolipop es buah persik yang sudah pernah saya bikin.
Es Lolipop Strawberry

Bahan-bahan:
🍓 2 gelas (about 300 gr) strawberry yang sdh dipotong-potong. Bekukan beberapa jam atau semalaman.
🍓 1 gelas (270 gr) yogurt tawar kental (bisa pakai rasa strawberry)
🍓 ½ gelas ( kurleb 150 gr) madu atau sesuai selera manisnya
🍓 1 sdt vanilla extract
Cara membuat:
1) Haluskan strawberry yang sudah difrozen dengan food processor atau blender. Proses sampai halus benar.
2) Masukkan yogurt dingin, madu dan vanila. Proses lagi sampai creamy dan tercampur sempurna. Cicipi rasanya. Bisa tambah madu jika dirasa kurang manis.
3) Lalu cetak dalam cetakan lolipop / es potong. Kalau tidak ada, bisa pakai gelas kertas ukuran paling kecil. Lalu tusukkan gagang lolipop ditangahnya. Bekukan dalam freezer semalaman.
Rendam cetakan es dalam air hangat 10-20 detik agar mudah dilepas dari cetakan.
Es lolipop strawberry bisa disimpan dalam freezer sampai 1 bulan.
