It is like a choux cookie snack because it's dry and crunchy as cookies. But we usually bought them ready from the store... we never made it at home (^,^)

But here, far away from my homeland... if I miss something I mostly couldn't find here... I must do more effort to have it... But by doing this I'll learn anything which I never thought I would learn/ do

This recipe I adapted this from the Indonesian online recipe site Sajian Sedap. And here I write in English version for you who want to try this savory tasteful cookie..

Orange Chicken recipe

Orange Chicken is an American Chinese dish of Hunan origin. The variety of orange chicken most commonly found at North American fast food restaurants consists of chopped, battered, and fried chicken pieces coated in a sweet orange-flavored chili sauce, which thickens or caramelizes to a glaze. While the dish is very popular in the United States, it is most often found as a variation of General Tso's chicken rather than the dish found in mainland China.

In most countries in the western hemisphere, the names "orange chicken", "orange peel chicken", "orange flavor chicken", and "tangerine chicken" are typically used for this particular dish. In Chinese, however, the dish is always known as "陳皮雞", literally "old peel chicken", referring to dried orange or tangerine peel, which is used in traditional Chinese medicine as well as cooking. For restaurants outside of Asia, fresh orange peel is often used instead, or even no peel at all.

My Today's post is Orange Chicken. I was searching and comparing some recipes across google... and they are typically the same with slight diversity and I found this recipe. The recipe I copied from Blogchef.net meet my taste (again, as Asian).
And after I tried it... yes...indeed..this is the recipe that suits me in flavor.

Here I re-write the recipe I use from blogchef.net with minor adjustments...

Paris Brest / French Brest with Pistachio Mousseline

Selam Everybody... Merhaba From Turkey.. (^,^)

Choux pastry, or pâte à choux, is a light pastry dough used to make profiteroles, croquembouches, éclairs, French crullers, beignets, St. Honoré cake, and gougères. It contains only butter, water, flour, and eggs. Like Yorkshire Pudding or David Eyre's pancake, instead of a raising agent it employs high moisture content to create steam during cooking to puff the pastry.

Choux pastry is usually baked but for beignets it is fried. In Spain and Latin America, churros are made of fried choux pastry, sugared and dipped in a thin chocolate blancmange for breakfast. In Austrian cuisine, it is also boiled to makeMarillenknödel, a sweet apricot dumpling [citation needed]; in that case it does not puff, but remains relatively dense. They are sometimes filled with cream and used to make cream puffs or éclairs--Wiki

Money Bag dumpling made from scratch

Selam everybody....Merhaba from Turkiye

Dumplings are a food that consists of small pieces of dough, either cooked alone or wrapped around a filling. They can be based on flour, potatoes or bread, and may include meat, fish, vegetables, or sweets. They may be cooked by boiling, steaming, simmering, frying, or baking. They may have a filling, or there may be other ingredients mixed into the dough. Dumplings may be sweet or savoury. They can be eaten by themselves, in soups or stews, with gravy, or in any other way. While some dumplings resemble solid water-boiled doughs, such as gnocchi, others such as wontons or ravioli feature a wrapping of dough around a filling-Wiki
I love dumpling and as Asian I prefer Asian -- any kind-- of Asian dumpling. Whether it's steaming or fried or pot sticker.

I was craving this "money bag" dumpling for while ago but I keep postpone it due to my "spring cleaning"  schedule which I just could do this early May since cold weather and raining so often in last April. You know, making dumpling from starch takes some times. We must make the wonton wrap first, then make filling, then fry, then prepare the dipping sauce.. (^,^) . What do you think?? Will you still make it?? It's worthy though ... (^,^)

As some sources is a traditional dim sum brunch includes various types of steamed buns such as cha siu baau, dumplings and rice noodle rolls (cheong fun), which contain a range of ingredients, including beef, chicken, pork, prawns and vegetarian options. Many dim sum restaurants also offer plates of steamed green vegetables, roasted meats, congee porridge and other soups. Dessert dim sum is also available and many places offer the customary egg tart.

Pistachio Macarons recipe, Step by Step and Tips

Selam everybody.... Merhaba from Turkiye 😃

Today's post again is part of my journey (read; adventure) of macarons... I think I'm in heart to these tiny little sweet. I mean, who doesn't? And also they are too cute and pretty much "photogenic"..(^,^).. you know what I mean.... They are just perfectly beautiful in front of camera. I always love to add some cute and girly properties for them... I think they match each other (^,^)

Well, I'm not photographer.... but I always love to present what I made in my little kitchen look genuinely scrumptious for my readers because that's what food photography about-at least that's what I believe. And you must try the recipe to experience the taste.

And back to macarons topic... many of my friends said they they are afraid to bake them because they said it's tricky and mostly end up with failure.
Believe me, I'd been there before! Before I got "success story" on baking macarons... I was like my friends before... If I'm not mistake calculate maybe I failed baking this macarons about 4 or 5 or 6 times since 2 years ago.

Orange frozen yogurt, NO Ice cream machine required

Yogurt is eaten here in Turkey (and other middle east regions and Mediterranean) for over hundreds years ago.
Yogurt, yoghurt, or yoghourt ( from Turkish: yoğurt) is a food produced by bacterial fermentation of milk. The bacteria used to make yogurt are known as "yogurt cultures". Fermentation of lactose by these bacteria produces lactic acid, which acts on milk protein to give yogurt its texture and its characteristic tang.

Frozen yogurt is a frozen dessert made with yogurt and sometimes other dairy products. It varies from slightly to much more tart than ice cream, as well as being lower in fat (due to the use of milk instead of cream). It is different from ice milk (more recently termed low-fat or light ice cream) and conventional soft serve.
Frozen yogurt has come to be used much like ice cream, and is served in a wide variety of flavors and styles. We can vary it with adding various toppings.

Here the difference between some frozen dessert :
