İf you are my page's regular reader... you should probably know that I cook Indonesian and Asian cook more than Turkish food. 
Yep... daily I serve my mixed family with variant cuisine mostly Turkish food and Indonesian / Asian. Even not every day I eat Indonesian food but at least Asian spice always on my menu.
My kid enjoys both Indonesian/ Asian cuisine as much as Turkish food.

My husband still prefers Turkish food as main dish. Also, he starts to enjoy some Indonesian snacks or "kueh", Indonesian cookies that he never knew before, or some beverages.
He likes  tofu and tempeh as well😊 


And today I will share one of my repeatable menu. İt's Kung pao Chicken... my fave! Maybe some of you think that cooking Asian food is complicated. And seeing long list of ingredients might discouraged you.
But actually, once you get all your ingredients on the table, cooking Asian food is very fast, quick and flavorful- you gonna love it and enjoy the food instantly.

KUNG PAO CHICKEN RICE BOWL

Serve 3 shares
İngredients:
🍲 400 gr boneless chicken meat, cut into small chunk
🍲 salt and black pepper
🍲 1 small egg
🍲 1 cup (120 g) all-purpose flour, sifted
🍲  ¼ cup (20 gr) cornstarch
🍲 ½ tsp baking powder

🍲 Oil for deep fry

Make the fried chicken:

1. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Let sit for  15-30 minutes.
2. Crack the egg and beat well. Mix in chicken meat. Mix dry ingredients on a plate. 
3. Meanwhile, heat enough oil in a wok or a pan for deep-frying. Drag the chicken into dry mixture to coat well then gently drop into oil and fry until golden brown. Draining the excess oil by laying the chicken on a dish lined with paper towels.


Sauce:
🍲 1-2 Tbsp oil
🍲 3-4 cloves of garlic, finely minced
🍲 3 cm ginger, finely minced
🍲 2 spring onion, separate white part from green, chopped
🍲 few dried chilies, soak in hot water few minutes then cut roughly
🍲 2 Tbsp oyster sauce (*)
🍲 2 Tbsp light soy sauce (*)
🍲 2 Tbsp molasses ( I use grape molasses) (*)
🍲 1 Tbsp vinegar (*)
🍲 2 tsp brown sugar (*)
🍲 2 tsp fish sauce (*)
🍲 2 tsp sesame oil (*)
🍲 2 tsp cornstarch (*)
🍲 about ½ cup water (*)
🍲 roasted peanut or sesame seed 

→Mix sauce with mark (*)

How to cook:
  • In a wok or skillet heat oil over high heat. Add the garlic, ginger and white part onion, saute until fragrant. Add in chili.
  • Stir in sauce mixture and continue to cook until the sauce thickens.
  • After the sauce get thickens add the fried chicken into the wok or skillet. Add in roasted peanut/ sesame.
  • Stir continuously until all the ingredients are well coated with the sauce. 
  • Serve immediately with steamed rice, garnish with sesame seeds and green part onion.

Mudah-mudahan pas baca postingan saya ini semua sehat dan berbahagia ya......... Lagi gak bahagia? Ah... mudah kok.. ingat hal yang bikin tersenyum lalu bersyukur bahwa kita masih sehat dan masih dianugrahi umur sampai saat ini 😊
Kunci bahagia kan cuman satu.... banyak bersyukur..... Bener nggak? 😊

Postingan kali ini mau sharing salah satu makanan kesukaan saya.
Yang rajin ikutin blog sederhana ini pasti udah pada tahu ya ...selain menyajikan masakan khas Türki, saya juga suka berbagi sajian kampung halaman juga masakan khas Asia lainnya.
Ya karena keluarga saya yang mix culture ini. Alhamdulillah anak saya suka makanan Indonesia/ Asia asal tidak pedas banget. Tapi dia juga menyukai makanan lokal sini. 
Mungkin karena sejak kecil saya jg udah biasakan dia makan apa saja baik khas Indonesia maupun makanan Türki.


Siapa yang belum dengar Kung pao Chicken? pasti udah pada familiar ya dengan makanan bercita rasa chinesse food ini ya. Bahkan makanan ini populer hingga ke barat ( Amerika) dan menjadi salah satu menu fast food yang populer.

Yuuk..yang pengen coba juga di rumah.... mudah kok dan pasti ketagihan. 

KUNG PAO CHICKEN RICE BOWL

Bahan ayam goreng:
🍲 400 gr daging ayam tanpa tulang, potong kotak
🍲 garam dan merica bubuk secukupnya
🍲 1 telur ukuran kecil
🍲 1 cup (120 g) terigu serba guna, ayak
🍲  ¼ cup (20 gr) pati jagung
🍲 ½ sdt baking powder

🍲 minyak untuk menggoreng

Membuat ayam goreng:

1. Bumbuhi ayam dengan garam dan merica dan diamkan  15-30 menit.
2. Kocok telu. Masukkan daging ayam dalam kocokan telur. Sementara ayak jadi satu bahan keringnya. Balut potongan ayam ke dalam tepung dan cubit-cubit agar tepung melekat. Lakukan sampai ayam habis.
3. Panaskan minyak dengan api sedang-besar. goreng potongan ayam hingga kecoklatan. Tiriskan minyaknya.




Bahan Saus:

🍲 1-2 sdm minyak goreng
🍲 3-4 bawang putih, cincang halus
🍲 3 cm jahe, cincang halus
🍲 2 daun bawang, cincang. pisahkan bagian putih dari yang hijau
🍲 Beberapa buah cabe besar kering, rendam dalam air panas bbrp menit. Lalu potong kasar
🍲 2 sdm saus tiram (*)
🍲 2 sdm kecap asin (*)
🍲 2 sdm molasses ( saya pakai molasses anggur) (*)
🍲 1 sdm cuka (*)
🍲 2 sdt gula(*)
🍲 2 sdt saus ikan (*)
🍲 2 sdt minyak wijen (*)
🍲 2 sdt pati jagung (*)
🍲 ± ½ gelas air (*)
🍲 kacang goreng atau wijen sangrai

→Campur jadi satu bahan bertanda (*)
Note: Molasses bisa diganti dengan 1 sdm kecap manis

Cara memasak:
  • Panaskan minyak dengan api besar. Masukkan bawang putih, jahe dan daun bawang bagian putih. Tumis hingga harum. Lalu masukkan potongan cabe. Aduk rata.
  • Masukkan bahan saus lalu aduk-aduk hingga mengental.
  • Setelah saus kental, masukkan potongan ayam goreng, aduk rata sampai ayam terbalut saus. Masukkan kecang goreng/ wijen. Aduk rata
  • Sajikan hangat dengan taburan daun bawang hijau diatas nasi putih.
