In general, the lighter the brown sugar, the more delicate the flavor. Very dark or old-fashioned brown sugar has a more intense molasses flavor.

İ started to make brown sugar since İ baked a lot of cookies and some desserts using this type of sugar. And since mostly İ found brown sugar in solid block form than regular one here. Maybe because commonly local people drink their tea with small square block sugar. So İ always have a big jar of brown sugar in my pantry.

2 ingredients to make your own brown sugar:
- 500 gr sugar
- 30 gr ( ± ¼ cup) molasses, İ use grape molasses
- You can use thefood processor with mixing (dull) blade- usually from plastic or silicon. Or just simply mix with wooden spoon.
- Here İ use my processor with mixing blade then pour the molasses while pulsing the processor until molasses distribute and covered all the sugar crystal.
- Store in air tight container and you have sugar brown ready to use.
