Today I am gonna share another Turkish traditional food calls Köy kebabı. Köy means village in Turkish language and kebab is food with the grilled cooking process. No story is told why it calls "köy kebabı".
Regardless of the name, this meal is an absolute winner, especially for a quick yet delicious dinner. And it's a one-pot meal that I believe you will keep this recipe for a repeatable menu for your family 👪

Serving good food for the family is more than serving good nutrition. So you this recipe is perfect for you who busy but still want to have family dinner.

By: Çitra's Home Diary

İngredients:
🍴 about 1,5 kg chicken thigh
🍴 2-3 medium potato, cut into a wedge
🍴 few green and yellow banana chili pepper, halved
🍴 2-3 tomatoes, cut into a wedge
🍴 4-5 cloves of garlic, finely sliced
🍴 3 pcs onion, cut into a wedge
🍴 ½ - 1 tbsp red pepper flake
🍴 generous pinch of thyme
🍴 salt and sugar to taste
🍴 ½ cup of olive oil
🍴 1 tbsp tomato paste
🍴 ½ tbsp chili paste

🍴 1 cup of water
🍴 2-3 tbsp butter

How to make:

1) In big casserole season chicken pieces with salt and black pepper. Let sit at least 30 minutes.
2)Then preheat oven at 180℃. Add in all vegetables; potatoes wedge, all chili peppers, tomato, onion, and garlic. Season with salt and sugar, chili flake and thyme.
3) Dissolved tomato and chili paste into 1 cup of water. Then pour into chicken and vegetables. Mix in olive oil. Toss nicely so all chicken and vegetables cover with the sauce. Dollop butter all over casserole.
4) Cover with aluminum foil and roast it in the oven for about 45-50 minutes. Take off the aluminum foil and continue to roast for about 30-45 minutes or until golden on the surface.

Enjoy.
