"Menemen" is one of many other daily Turkish meal. The main ingredient is egg, cooked with onions and tomato paste. In some regions they add some cheese too. Then served hot with bread.

- 4 eggs
- 1 medium onion. finely chopped.
- 2 cloves garlic (optional). finely chopped.
- 1 medium tomato. finely chopped.
- 4 green peppers. cut into small cubes.
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste. dilute with 3 / 4 cup warm water
- Salt to taste
- 1 tablespoon butter for sauteing.

How to cook:

1) Heat the butter. Put onions and garlic. Saute until fragrant and wilted. Add green peppers and tomatoes. cook again until wilted.
2) Break eggs one at a time and stir until blended.
3) Add diluted tomato paste and cook until egg is cooked. Add salt to taste. Test the taste. Turn off the heat.

Serve hot with slices of bread.

Menemen adalah salah satu dari sekian banyak makanan Turki sehari-hari. Bahan utamanya adalah telur, yang dimasak dengan bawang dan pasta tomat. Dihidangkan panas-panas bersama roti.

- 4 butir telur
- 1 medium bawang bombay. cincang sangat halus.
- 2 siung bawang putih (optional) . Cincang sangat halus.
- 1 medium tomat. cincang halus.
- 4 buah paprika hijau atau cabe hijau. potong kubus kecil.
- 1 sdm pasta tomat. encerkan dengan 3/4 gelas air hangat
- garam secukupnya
- 1 sdm mentega untuk menumis.

1) Panaskan mentega. masukkan bawang dan bawang putih. Tumis hingga harum dan layu. Masukkan paprika hijau dan tomat. Masak hingga layu.
2) Pecahkan telur satu per satu dan aduk hingga rata.
3) Tambahkan pasta tomat dan masak hingga telur matang. Tambah garam sesuai selera. Cicipi rasanya.

Hidangkan panas-panas dengan irisan roti.
